Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a therapeutic use of oxygen in a pressurized hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber allowing a non-invasive, simple treatment for a multitude of issues. This has been researched and documented to assist in the healing of skin wounds but it also has tremendous potential in healing wounds that may not be able to be seen, including traumatic brain injuries, stroke, neurodegenerative disease, dementia to name only a few!  

The hyperbaric oxygen chamber uses pressurized oxygen which is carried in the plasma portion of the blood which then has access to every tissue in the body- allowing oxygenated blood flow to access tissues that have been damaged or have not been receiving adequate oxygenation. This stimulates the body’s innate ability to begin to heal, while removing harmful substances that can accumulate as by- products in our systems. By increasing oxygenated blood flow to tissues it can significantly reduce inflammation. Most of the conditions encountered in medicine today begin with inflammation. HBOT has the potential to make a significant impact on disease development and progression.
